Jockey Kent Desormeaux remained hospitalized Tuesday with a fractured rib and a bruised lung after being kicked by a horse on Sunday at Santa Anita.
According to the Daily Racing Form, Desormeaux will be sidelined indefinitely as a result of his injuries, which occurred before the eighth race. The 44-year-old rider was unseated in the post parade and was subsequently kicked in the chest by the 2-year-old filly, She’s a Big Winner.
