pokerFasig-Tipton, in conjunction with Gulfstream Park, will host a charity poker tournament to benefit New Vocations and the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund in advance of the auction company’s Florida sale of 2-year-olds in training.

The poker tournament will be held March 2 at 6:30 p.m. ET, in Gulfstream’s Poker Room. It is part of a week of activities planned around Fasig-Tipton’s sale, which will be held at Gulfstream Park for the first time this year. Fasig-Tipton will also sponsor the Feb. 28 Swale Stakes (gr. II) at Gulfstream.

“It will add another fun element to what will be an exciting week of activities revolving around our world class 2-year-old sale,” said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning in a release.

The buy-in for the tournament will be $150, and players will have the option to buy back in at various levels. Cash prizes will be paid out to the first, second, and third-place finishers, with a guaranteed pot of $10,000.
