After winning the fifth race by a neck with Perfect Tay ($6.60), Gaffalione returned to the winner’s circle with another set of three consecutive wins in the seventh through ninth races, with Sambrook Edge ($4.80) by a neck, and Insum Money ($9.80) and Stormin Charlotte ($6.40), each by a length and a half.

Gaffalione was never off the board for the entire race card – in his four non-winning mounts, he picked up two second-place finishes and two third-place finishes.

For the week, he was in the money on 57% of his starts, with a win rate of 33%. With his 10 wins, he has increased his 2017 total to 168 and his lifetime total wins to 621 in 3,872 starts.
