The talented reinsmen started his week of brilliance on Thursday afternoon at Golden Gate Fields, pulling off an impressive three bagger and he continued his dominance, winning four on Friday’s card and repeated hat tricks on Saturday and Sunday.
With 13 wins, Hernandez was the leading North American rider by number of victories last week. He also finished in the money on an incredible 79% of his 29 mounts. Competing amongst an elite Northern Californian riding colony, Hernandez’s masterful ability to gauge pace and positioning was on full display. It was more than fitting that he won the opener and the closer on each day during a week that belonged to him.
He’s won 76 of his 240 mounts to start the year and is 1,833 for 5,561 lifetime. In 2020, Hernandez’s mounts have earned $196,045 and his lifetime earnings to date exceed $32.5 million.
